Ethan Bramble, once famous for being covered head to toe in tattoos, now shares his regrets and explains why he’s removing his face ink for the sake of his daughter.
Tattooed Dad Undergoes Huge Transformation For His Daughter's Future
Ethan "ModBoy" Bramble, a 24-year-old from Australia, became widely recognized for his bold and unusual appearance, marked by hundreds of tattoos and dramatic body modifications.
With more than 200 tattoos covering nearly every inch of his body, plus extreme alterations like tongue splitting and other surgical changes, his look became his trademark and made him stand out everywhere he went.
Bramble’s fascination with body modification began shockingly young. At just 11 years old, he started stretching his ears, which sparked a lifelong obsession with altering his body.
Over time, his modifications grew more and more extreme. Beyond the ink, he even underwent surgeries such as splitting his tongue and removing his belly button, moves that drew both curiosity and criticism from the public.
These decisions, while unique, also meant he lived with constant judgment and stares from strangers.
Although tattoos and body mods are often seen as deeply personal expressions of identity, Bramble eventually began to see things differently.
By the time he realized he may have taken it too far, his body was nearly fully covered in tattoos, making the thought of reversing his choices feel impossible.
Altogether, he spent close to AUD 60,000 (around $39,000 USD) on creating his extreme appearance. That price tag also gave him a sense of just how much effort—and cost—it might take if he ever chose to undo his look.
During an interview for LadBibleTV’s No Filter series, Bramble got candid about his regrets.
Speaking honestly, he admitted, "I guess you could say I regret some tattoos. Not just regret; it's more about wanting to be perceived differently."
He explained that the reactions of others, especially the way people stared when he was with his young daughter, heavily influenced his decision. "The face is a big thing," he noted.
Sharing more of his thoughts, he added, "It can lead to so many issues. I wouldn't want my daughter to have to deal with those until she's older. I wish I hadn't gone so extreme with my face."
Bramble took the first big step toward change by beginning laser tattoo removal, starting with the tattoos on his face.
This marked a turning point, not only in how he looked but also in how he wanted to shape his life moving forward for his daughter.
"I've been undergoing laser treatments for about 12 months now," he revealed.
"We do it in sections, and I've gone over the full area six or seven times."
Beyond appearance, Bramble also connected his decision to his mental health, admitting, "A lot of the anxiety I was feeling might have stemmed from having a face full of tattoos."
He continued, "I'm happy with how I look, but I'm also happy knowing that in two years, my face tattoos will fade more and more. It's like clearing the canvas."
His transformation highlights the complicated balance between self-expression, how society perceives us, and the changes we make for growth and loved ones.
By choosing to make such a dramatic shift for his daughter’s future, Bramble has sparked important conversations about the long-term weight of our choices and the ability to rewrite our story.
Would you consider making such a life-altering change for your child’s future?
