We all remember Macaulay Culkin, right? The actor who, for many, is still frozen in time as Kevin McCallister from Home Alone?

Well, back in 2018, this beloved actor, known for one of the most recognizable names, decided to visit the courthouse to make a change to his birth certificate.

Throughout his career, Culkin has used different names in roles such as Richie Rich, Robot Chicken, and American Horror Story.

But it turns out that changing his name wasn't limited to just his roles. In 2018, Culkin shared on his site, Bunny Ears, that there was a part of his name he wasn't exactly fond of.

He described his middle name as 'so dumb' that he couldn't even remember it, showing just how little it meant to him.

The actor said: "Larry? Orange? Honestly, I can't even remember it."

Since his middle name was practically forgotten, Culkin turned to his fans for suggestions on what his new middle name should be.

"I asked you all to send in some better options so I can go down to the court house and explain to a judge why I need to change my middle name to something cool," he said.

The internet, thrilled at the chance to help a childhood icon, eagerly joined in to share their creative ideas.

Submissions flooded in, and Culkin chose his top five favorites. The choices were:

- TheMcRibIsBack
- Kieran
- Shark Week
- Publicity Stunt
- Macaulay Culkin.

All were entertaining options, with Kieran being particularly funny, as it's the name of Culkin's brother.

Culkin set up a vote that would close on Christmas Eve, saying humorously: "Sure, I might have gold-plated watercraft, and chrome plated invisibility cloaks, but all I want for Christmas is a new middle name."

And his holiday wish came true.

On Christmas Day, he revealed on Twitter that his legal name was now Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin.

It's quite a mouthful, but Culkin remarked: "It has a nice ring to it (if you like my name)."

It might sound unbelievable, but if you check Culkin's Wikipedia page, you'll see that he is indeed listed as 'Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin'.
